How to edit 2d dials?
I can edit the 3d dials on dashboards with car editor but can't edit the 2d dials that appears at the right bottom corner while driving the cars. There isn't anything on config file also. I want to do this because a lot of cars show wrong rpm values(rpm needle angles are wrong). I would also like to draw red line to some of them. How to do that?

It seems to me that the only solution is to simply adjust the number of revolutions to the dial or change the dial to another one, in the game files there is a folder called Dials and all the dials are there, somewhere in the editor there is a tab called other where it says Digital below name and below it I write what counter is assigned to it

Off the top, I'd recommend creating a new folder instead of modifying existing files. Now to the meat and taters.

Navigate to this folder in Explorer:

...Steam\steamapps\common\Car Mechanic Simulator 2021\Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_Data\StreamingAssets\Dials

Here is where you'll find all the folders that include the 2D HUD tachs (config, and dial/needle png files) for each vehicle.

I created a couple custom dials for a couple custom configs, so I'll use this as an example. Here's the link to one of the custom configs: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2977729481

The instructions for installation are at the bottom of the description. This will give you an idea of how to create a new folder, apply the documents, etc. I've rarely promoted my own uploads, but this is an exceptional occasion where I think it would help. No need to sub to the config unless you want the practice before doing your own work, and/or to see how I got it working in detail. Otherwise, the instructions in the config description should suffice to get you going.

I created these custom tachs to match the dash tach, since the vanilla HUD tach isn't even close.

Going back to the dials folder, you'll see the config file for each dial in its corresponding
folder. Open a config file. Here's what mine looks like:

[dial]
needleSprite=Licznik_mkvtt_needle.png
dialSprite=Licznik_mkvtt_tach.png
angles=122.5,-121.5
rpms=0,9000

bgColor=00000064
needleColor=FFFFFFFF
dialColor=FFFFFFFF
speedoColor=FFFFFFFF
gearColor=FFF400FF
unitsColor=B4B4B4FF

Modify the "angles=" parameters to adjust the HUD tach's needle to where you want it sitting at idle and maxing at redline, or whatever you prefer. Note that adjusting the RPM parameters in a vehicle's config for the dash needle will alter the 2D HUD tach's needle as well, but altering the config for the HUD dial won't affect the dash needle, so always adjust the dash tach in the vehicle config first. Sounds like you've already done that, so all good, but it's something to keep in mind down the road as you do more work.

If you want to draw anything or create your own tachs, you'll need editing software like GIMP or Photoshop. I use GIMP. It's good enough, and it's free with no strings attached. From this software, you can export your own png files to your specific folder. This ties it all together with my recommending you create a new folder, even if you're drawing on a vanilla file.

I feel like I'm leaving something out, as it's been a while since I've done this, but I'll try to remember as much as I can. Feel free to ask more questions if you need more info, which will probably also jog my memory. Cheers to the beers.

Thank you very much to both of you. I am now able to edit 2d dials.
