Random Spawn Using Switch & Case
Hi.
I have created a random spawn using a "switch" and "case", "actor_to_waypoint/actor_state", "delay and trigger" on outside (8 "cases" in all) and it is responding but not as much as I want it to. What I mean is when using "north", "south", "east" and "west", is were I have placed down a bunch of waypoints, so for example; at the end of side of map at "east" I placed a waypoint down and around 6/7 waypoints attached to that and they (the attached waypoints) all moving inland towards centre of map and for the rest, "south", "north", "west", using the same waypoints method, and yes the german Ai soldiers do spawn in a lot of the times say spawning once out of "south" and "west", "north", "east", they will spawn in and other times spawn in (only once at one map coordinate) out of "south", "west", "east," "north", so for example; "west" is used randomly and this continuing maybe so now "north" will be used next and then on occasion out of all 4 coordinates, n,s,e,w, then at least once each map coordinate has been used for german Ai spawn which is what I want to achieve.

And then I got to thinking about not only using n,s,e,w, but also diagonally to, using the map corners, so say in between "west, "south," side of map and in that corner a waypoint is placed down and attached to it another 6/7 waypoints, and again they all moving inland towards centre of map. On each separate waypoint placed down (8 in all) then attached to each separate waypoints are other waypoints all moving inland. From an areal view all waypoints can look like an overall star formation.

How can I have it so all 8 separate waypoints are used as part of random german ai spawn so each time german Ai spawn in then it is certain all 8 separate waypoints will be used but only one spawn at a time out of 8 separate waypoints placed down.
Oh yeh and also, another thing when going beyond the 4th "case" used so the "value box" in that "case" be "0.8" well, for the 5th "case" used then how is the "value boxed" filled in like "0.8?" and so forth upto 8 "cases" used in all? At the 5th "case" in "value box" I put in "1.2", but I feel this may not be right and may also be a contributing factor as to why the waypoints (using the corners/diagonally) aren't working as part of random spawn script.

I really hope all that makes sense?

Hey, I popped back in to give an update on my trial and error on the random script and all seems to be responding well now, but yeh nice 1 for the tutorial link TJ. I will have a look nice 1 mate. :steamthumbsup:

OOoh yes, I like this video as I see "switch" and "case" has been used a lot so am gonna get researching this... Thanks again bud... Mean's a lot...
