And there's also lots of royalty free music out there. I'm surprised there isn't more music mods out yet, as other games tend to get them. Stock DF music is great, but after hearing it 1000 times, a little variety couldn't hurt.

Yes, you can just mute the in-game music and then load spotify/etc. But then you won't take advantage of contextual music. Such as battle music, etc. Something that I hear vanilla DF doesn't make use of yet, but the above mod (and the mod it's based on) does actually use. Several people on the forums have pointed out contextual music being important to them, and I tend to agree. Plus, music intentionally picked for a game is always more fun, in my opinion, know what I mean?

Just an idea - don't be too mean. If you're not into music mods, please don't be disruptive.

Should anyone be interested, I'm sure any genre would be appreciated by someone - have fun with it. There's always someone out there that shares your music interest.
