Modding question: special animation

For my project I need certain underwater animal to occasionally perform special animation. I've discovered that otter's floating behavior can do the trick, but there is a problem: during transition animal floats upward, which is not desirable. Is there a way to somehow block this?
Or maybe there is another better way for playing special move?

I'm afraid it isn't possible to block the move to the surface. And I don't think there is any other way to trigger a special animation, sorry. :(
