0 modding knowledge other than changing unit pips, national ideas and monuments to be overpowered as heck.

Have had the idea of making a map, either based on tilepoh8 or tilepoh35 from the random new world maps. The general shape of them, I know that tilepoh35 is an entire continent, I just want a landmass that I could place in something like Europe, Asia, Africa or North America. Not sure yet were.

What would be a good way to get started with map modding? Is there a template somewhere? Possibly with a template for a nation?
