Thanks for the update. That's great news. I was wondering if I could ask a cheeky request. Is there any chance that I could have a copy of your unity files for the Metrobus Mk1 and 2. The reason that I ask is that I'd like to add number plates, destination signs and fleet numbers to my own workshop West Midlands paint schemes, Unfortunately, mine are all located a little differently to yours. These will be for my personal use only, unless you give me permission to release them (with all credit going to you).
Thank you for raising this issue. I'm sorry to disappoint you that we're not offering our unity files at the moment. In fact, when this new function came out, I got the same question in my mind.
Even back in 80s Hong Kong, Bus company would put their plate and destination board on different locations of the bus. And I find this a nightmare when I try to recreate the fleet back then. Moreover, digital destination display won't suit buses in this era. These classic British buses also ran in many different countries and they all have a slightly different variant.
Therefore, I've decided not to use this function on older buses. If the developers would allow players to locate plates and displays, that would be a lot better.
I agree, it would definitely be easier if players were allowed to use this function. Especially for those of us who to seek to recreate paint schemes as close as possible to the originals. Hopefully, this is something that might be implemented in the future by the developer. Unfortunately, it would appear that even modern buses suffer the same issues with variations. You only have to google the ALX400 for example. It appears that there are at least two variations of that vehicle!
Anyway, again thank you for taking the time to reply and for your continued hard work and contribution to the CBM community.
Merry Xmas
Ian
