Open source the engine
Any chance of the engine getting open sourced ?.
Lets face it. The engine is obsolete by todays standards and there are plenty of other open engines to choose from should one start a new game.
Seems like the community could help solve some problems with the engine (the non LUA stuff).
And by open source I don't mean "Free game". An open source license can still prohibit anyone else but UWE from making money on the game/engine.

Only reason I see for not open sourcing the engine is due to :
- Proprietary 3rd part libraries.
- Engine contains stuff that it shouldn't (eg. license violating code)

So any chance of that happening ?!.

As a supporter of free software I can't disagree with you. It's already Linux complient, if it was Free it'll bring some new (and probably nice) players!
