Original Voices For All Units | Too Many Voices v0.5.2a
Hey there! The below post contains useful information, I recommend reading it ;)

If you couldn't care less and just want to play the game with awesome voice acting in it, download the mod here:

Install Instructions: Place TooManyVoices.7z in: "My Documents/Proxy Studios/Gladius/Mods" and right click on it and click "Extract Here". (You may need either 7zip or winrar installed, both are free)

Too Many Voices is a mod that aims to create original voices for every single unit in the game, v0.5.2a contains original voices for all Space Marine, Astra Militarum, Ork, Tyranid and Chaos units. However; it needs a lot more testing and a LOT MORE feedback before I am happy with it. So, I am going to be making each faction available as I complete them.

Here is progress as it currently stands:

Space Marines - 99%
Orks - 99%
Astra Militarum - 99%
Necrons - 70%
Tyranids - 99%
Chaos - 99%
Tau - 10%

Would be possible to add an option for voices to play a % of times (e.g 30% of times a unit is selected)? because as cool as they are, they could get old fast.

Hey Vanant, the current version is only using 1 line per unit for select. Move, attack and some other lines use 8 different lines, all of which are randomised. I am hoping that having 1 line for select will work out as it cuts a LOT of production time. Please let me know how you get on with it, if it does get old fast I will up the select lines to 4 and see how that goes. Thanks for the feedback!

(It isn't currently possible to do a chance to play style thing, but it is something I can ask the devs about if that works out to be the best way forward.)

Could adding some empty lines to the pool of voices do the trick?

This is a game where each unit is used almost every turn, it's not like your great work would go unnoticed.

Well, it's embarrassing to say I did not think of that. That would actually work perfectly. I will consider implementing this if other people have the same feedback, which I think they quite likely will.

Is there more to it than just adding the files to the mod folder ? because i cant get it to work for some reason

Hey Vazc0, you just need to do the following (which I will add to the original post shortly):

Place TooManyVoices.7z in My Documents/Proxy Studios/Gladius/Mods/ and then right click on it, and click Extract Here.

thats what i did, strange. i guess ill try to reinstall the game or something.

Edit: reinstalling seemed to fix it.

So SM are the only voices ready in this build correct? If so that's cool and this mod is moving along faster than I thought it would :)

Yes, the Space Marine voices are complete and just need tweaking for stuff like volume balance and so on, which is why I have released them already for feedback.

The next faction to release will almost certainly be Orks, likely in about 2-3 weeks. Then it is a toss up between Astra Militarum and Tyranids for which comes next. Necrons will almost definitely be last.

So far im really liking it. The mod ads as much as i was hoping for. It really brings the game to life.

The only thing i could imagine to be getting repetetive, would be the line of the Tactical Marines, because i got a lot of them in the earlygame.

so far im quite impressed

Thank you for the feedback! I suppose what I could do is add extra selection lines for the units which get used the most like Tactical Marines to reduce the repetition issues.
