So I want to get a mod

As the title says I want to get a mod so a few questions
#1 will it make it so I can't get steam achievements or the feats?
#2 are there any mods you recommend?

You still get steam achievements when using mods, they just disqualify you from the leaderboards for speed runs and something else which i don't really care about.
