MTA R62 Model
So uh, not a commission, and not a future mod release. Just... kind of commenting on hopes that it'll be in the future.

So, I come from NYC. I'm a huge railfan and I enjoy the oldest of models in the MTA. However, while scrolling through the workshop of this game, I found an R46 made by sirhansirhansolo.
Before we continue, thank you man for making this masterpiece. I loved it. And probably so do others.
Anyways, I've been staring at this, wondering why nobody else made more of them. I understand the makings of mods, which is why I suck at them and can't make them myself. I understand the hassle it takes to find the models, then apply textures, scripts, etc. However, it keeps bugging my mind that THIS is the only mod. And to think "Why stop here?"

Now, there may be other concerns, like the possibility of copyright (I am not too sure on that myself) or the thought of the Sound effects (Which does sometimes ruin the feel). However, I looked at this and now it won't stop circling my mind. PLEASE, someone at least have the courage to make an R62 Model. I'd make one myself, but I already said I suck at modeling and can't even find myself to make something that looks even remotely decent. This isn't a commission (Like I said), so if you're looking for money, I'm terribly sorry but I can't offer any :(

*This is not a promise*

I've been researching towards something for NYCT, but my skills as a Modder are novice at best. I've received full permission to utilize some OpenBVE Trains for this game (Full model, sound files, animation files but its not in the TpF format) but I'm not skilled enough at the moment on how to either convert the files or recreate them for this game. I've been figuring out the tools needed, but Transport Fever 3 might be here before I get an alpha build sadly.

Believe me, I don't like the drought of MTA vehicles outside of the few Sirhansolo has blessed us with either.

Any knowledge that can be shared on the conversion matter would be greatly appreciated. The faster I learn, the faster we can have more NYCT trains for this game.

It's great you're willing to do it, and I understand it'll take a while. Modding is indeed difficult, and I barely know where or what to use to start. So, I'll take that "Not a promise" and at least I have someone else who understands the emptiness of the MTA in Transport Fever 2. If you need help in information, I might be able to help you with it a teeny bit. However, I can't really guarantee a full help.
