Reinforcment/Remount Problem
Hi..

I have setup a reinforcement script only this time when using the reinf/machine gun tab and placing machine gun on map surface and without ai soldiers already attached, then it works sweet and mounted machine gun frame even adjusts itself to, and because "remount tag" is already attached to said machine gun, then nearby ally ai soldiers will board machine gun. It works really well.

Only now when using machine gun tab again then how can it be setup so a "remount1" tag will automatically be added to second machine gun placed then of course, "remount1" script will kick in and so forth? Cheers.
Hmm.
Just come to me I could just add a whole bunch of tags, remount, remount1, remount2, remount3, ect to same machine gun.

Update:
I created a second boarding script called "remount1" and added "remount1 tag" to machine gun and so in-game after first time using reinf machine gun tab well, now ally ai soldiers gain tag "remounter1" and board machine gun, so "remount1" script has triggered in first, but now "remount" script (already added) doesn't work after I place down a second reinforcement machine gun, keeping in mind "remount tag" is already added to machine gun.

Thoughts?

You could have a look at my "auto_remount" scripts for inspiration.

In CTA you'll find some in my "Brutal Combat" mod

In CTA GOH you'll find another variation in my "Battle Rounds" mod. (I just updated it to work with the current version)

But yeh the remount script is from one of your remounting video tutorials.

Just bare with me..

I have one reinforcement tab created for machine gun. The machine gun frame or entity itself has 10 remount tags attached like remount, remount1, remount2, remount3, ect and including its own tag for reinforcement script. I have 10 separate remount triggers setup, again like remount, remount1, remount2, remount3 ect and so forth to remount10.
Now when I use reinforcement mg tab then out of the 10 remount scripts one of them will be triggered and depending on gained tag by nearby ally boarding mg then thats the remount script being triggered so for example; ally nearby gain remounter7 tag then yes remount7 script is being used.

Now when I use reinforcement mg tab again (always works first time for nearby ally to board mg gun), but for ally to board again another machine gun placed (after using reinforcements tab) then I see the remounter tag being gained by nearby ally, only this time nearby ally never board the machine gun like how they normally would do so (without using the reinforcement script), instead when ally ai get knocked off mg (with remount tag) then nearby ally will board empty mg.

I just need to know how its done for each time I place a new machine gun (now with using reinforcement script) then nearby ally will board mg as a result of already added remount script and tag? Each time I use reinforcements tab then machine gun is placed as not operated by any ally ai. Also this is the first time I have used the boarding or remount script as part of using the reinforcements script to as well, last few days really as I have been heavy testing it but need help. Thanks..

Hi Mate,
not sure why you've made 10 triggers?

The video you referred to had 3 triggers. 1 for remounting one unit, 1 for remounting two units & 1 for remounting three unit. Each tag/trigger represents how many crew for that weapon.

I still had the original file for that video. I quickly checked it and made a mod so you could download it and look at the original script.

Have a play, add more weapons and tag them based on the crew you want on them. You could have 10 weapons of each tagged the same and it should work. Look at the triggers and compare for the subtle differences.
