Any recommendations for a "Cities style" train that has a passenger capacity of 500+?
Ever since the free update the metro has a vehicle that has a passenger capacity of 450 while the train still has a (now) tiny 240.

I think this is stupid as in my mind heavy rail should have the greatest capacity.

So I am now on the hunt for a train that fits in with the style of the other vehicles of CS (so line color and electric) however it seems that railfans love uploading real world trains, so does anyone have a recommendation that fits my requirements?

Why not increasing the vanilla train capacity with mods like AVO or Transport Manager ?

Its hard to find vanilla style trains on the workshop.
Only Chomers has made some https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/chomers/myworkshopfiles/?appid=255710

There are large capacity trains or metros on the Workshop.

I mean I could since there are now 2 ingame trains but they are the exact same with a different paintjob so making them larger doesn't quite make real-world sense.

But wow, I didn't know about Chomers, they make some pretty cool stuff but sadly his trains doesn't quite fit what I was looking for.

I think Advanced Vehicle options is worth it. I personally changed basically all vanilla vehicles to have much more realistic capacities and it makes the game feel so much better. Buses should have a capacity of around 70. Trains should have a capacity of 500. Simply scale everything to the correct capacity so it makes inuniverse sense as well!

But if I really wanted to do that I could pop into the asset editor, up the values, and exclude the regular vehicles via the loading screen mod.

I don't think you have tried advanced vehicle options. It gives all that exact functionality. You can set the values, and exclude vehicles from saves, increase their speed and acceleration factors, EXCEPT you can do it extremely easily ingame. So your proposed alternative is much more time consuming and much more work.

I know what AVO does, I have used it in the past, but with my way I have one less mod that I need to use, and I already have about 200 mods (sure I don't use all of them at the same time but still.) And generally (while this is not always true) mods slow down the game due to running extra code.

200 mods is a lot. I would definetly reccomend creating collections on the workshop / use skyve profiles to keep mods because it seems you are just storing all mods as subscribed. If you haven't checked out skyve I definetly reccomend because with 200 mods there most certainly is a compatability issue or outdated mod that skyve could help with.

I do use skyve, and sure I do have some mods which I probably shouldn't use but I do have my reasons.
