Build using switch track for junior coaster

Does anyone know how to implement the switch track for anything realistic? I can only make a coaster go backwards with it.

I guess it is truly only capable of folding the track which is creative to use but is mechanically unwieldy for what it accomplishes. Sure wish the car could crawl up a hill backwards with it then fall back through the switch; I guess it was just not easily codeable, but definitely what the peice was created for.
