Any gameplay overhaul mods in the works for the workshop?
I hate the gameplay of this game, but like the writing. I want to play it, but the gameplay turns me off. I don't want to do manual modding for this game because it's a pain in the ass to get anything to work, I've tried.

Months later and I have the same query. Unfortunately it seems that no overhauls can be found in steam workshop. Am I missing something?

Don't think you are, unfortunately.

All the mods are on Nexus. W3EE redux is the only overhaul for version 4.4 and it's amazing. Vanilla game is simple, boring and lacking. W3EE overhauls alchemy, you now have access to all potions and oils at the start and instead you hafto brew them with herbs and materials. Depending on the materials you can brew stronger potions and they last mutch longer. Same with oils. Monsters are incredibaly tough like they are suppost to be, that's where potions help, alot. Combat is way better, your attacks fallow where the camera is. The creator took insperations from TH1 and 2 and made an witcher experience you will never forget. But beware the learning curve is steep, monsters will rip you to shred and is not for the impatient. Medium difficulty is the intended for this mod. You could try hard or very hard but i would advice against it no matter if you are experienced TW3 player. Also, there is a manual online, i would advice reading through since there is no tutorial ingame.

Is there no way to port it to the workshop? Trying to do it from nexus is such a mess.
Though it still sounds like it wouldnt be my thing, I hate the whole potions and oils gathering stuff. It's what turns me off the game, I'm fine with having to use them, I just dont want to dive into every bush to get them, craft them, etc.
