Save file no longer works following update. AGAIN

I have put hours into a full on global conquest and a mandatory update or verification has rendered all my saves inaccessible... Please tell me how to fix this or roll it back or whatever!!!

I am having the exact same problem. Any update would be helpful. I am 50 hours into my campaign!

I feel for you Feanor. How can it be an update or vitrification make you loose all progress? There has to be a way to get my game back! It's been an hour or so every night since DECEMBER and I was only a fifth of the way to complete victory. Fighting a war on six fronts, and winning! Someone has to have a plan...

This is why i play all my campaigns on easy/easy when going for world domination/victory.

Sure, winning on very hard/very hard is "more rewarding", but doing that as every faction is just a waste of time, not to mention the way too common "updates" that will render all your past saves useless. What a joke, right?

On easy/easy you can blitz with no difficulty and conquer the map in 1 day of playing:)
