Steam Workshop update!
Quick discussion! In my opinion SCS should update Steam Workshop, make more categories and make it more accessable because for now there is no map mods and barerly any new car/trucks mods and for example i cant download mods outside of Steam cause I play in cloud.

Voice your suggestion over on the SCS Forum. Nothing we can do about it.
So SCS should spend a lot of time and resources. Taking those assets away from the Greece and Nordic expansions development plus the base game crew to work on something that makes them no money just because you can't download mods via Steam. Seems like there is an easier solution.
Oh dear, what a shame...Never mind...
Your case is more or less like console vs PC in terms of mods.

Those who play on consoles will think it is a large investment to be spent on a gaming PC. But for this game, the investment should be minimal.

But your request seems unlikely to happen unless SCS do not plan on making money out of ETS2.

EDIT

I do think that somehow separating out 'skins' from trucks, trailers and cars would make finding these items easier as long as skin modders don't further abuse the system to have greater viability of skin mods.

The reason for no map mods on the Steam workshop is that the Steam workshop does not allow large enough file sizes for map mods.

Car mods get created and abandoned/not updated by authors. This has been consistent over the whole life of the game. Car mods just don't get updated and at some point many are delisted.

There seams to be more truck mods for ATS than ETS2 on the workshop, there may be third party websites with additional mods, but you must be careful using some of these sites.

When SCS release console versions of the game, they may go for allowing mods on a website like mod.io to allow multiplatform mod support and access across a wider range of devices.

This is already possible, however, too many mod authors upload their skins into the "Truck" category instead of the "Truck parts" category. Also, there are authors who abuse the categories by selecting ALL of them, regardless of whether they correspond to the actual mod or not.

never said they need to update steam workshop, just gived an idea, its not all bout the money always too, good brand will care bout its customers. Do SCS care, idk im not gonna make opinion on that, i just wish SCS upgraded workshop. Back to the making money, i think it would make more sales of the game cause it would make everything easier and more non pc players could have fun with mods while playing on cloud on phone or console, its not always bout packing ton of budget into buyable things, its sometime bout giving budget for free things that will increase sales. Bad and boring game with tons of dlcs is not gonna give u tons of money so u need sometime invest in free things to make game interesting so then ppl will buy these dlcs. If there is any mistake in text sorry for my bad english!

No map mods is due to the complexity of the mods to verify if they are within certain standards (for lack of a better word), there's a sticky post about it somewhere.

Updating the workshop isn't going to add more trucks (or cars), or keep the ones we have updated, this is purely a mod author's choice.

Okay, thanks i understand you!
Question from me now is why ppl just dont upload cars and trucks then, whats wrong with uploading it. Ik u dont know the answer but maybe some modders will read this.
idk indeed, but money is one thing, if they upload to mod hosters (like sharemods), and/or have their own website with advertising, it generates a few pennies per click.

I wouldn't bother. The forum has nothing to do with Steam.

But the other guy respnded like i meant something bad, like they should stop all the work and start working ONLY on workshop. I mean it more as a sugestion but my English just bad. But didnt mean anything bad, if they dont want to make any updates bout steam workshop or sum its ok.
