Need the unofficial patch
I came back to this game a dew days ago but when I went looking for the unofficial patch I could only find versions that require me to have special edition or legendary edition. I straight up can't launch the game without the patch and I'm really annoyed that if I want to play this again I need to pay around $50 to get special edition.

If anyone has the patch for just regular Skyrim, I would really appreciate it.

You can still buy DLCs separately, if you want. They are delisted, but not removed from the store. LE isn't separate version of the game. Just main+DLCs.

There is no up to date version for Unofficial Skyrim Patch. Team ended up having too much trouble updating separate patches for each DLC, so they were all merged as single patch long time ago.

I would recommend considering SE though. It has superior memory management and 64bit architecture benefits. You don't need memory tweaks, or worry about VRAM crashes with that one. Your call, of course.

Edit: Just checked LE DLC prices. You are probably better off just getting SE... instead of saving about 6€.

Okay, thanks. I'll look into getting the DLCs or SE.
I wish they hadn't taken down the other versions of the Unoficcial Skyrim Patch though. I can't really see why they would, even if they aren't going to update it anymore.

I get that, but keep in mind how many changes patch has gone through. Other mods have forwarded changes. Old single file wouldn't be compatible with majority of more complex mods.

That would restrict you to some very simple mods + couple of xSE solutions. Of course, if that is all you would have needed, then I understand.

yeah, lack of compatibility would suck but they could have left it up with like a warning or something
Look for it on Nexus...I run LE with over 250 mods...probably 300 with Texture and mesh upgrades...some you can't even find anymore....

My LE looks so much better than my Modded SE...no comparison...My LE runs at a very high resolution...

Skyrim LE Video Settings

3840 x 2160

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU

My SE can't run at this resolution...and even though I run the same Mods...SE just doesn't have the clarity snap that my LE has...My LE looks so much better than SE

I don't run the SE version anymore and locked Steam out of updating my LE and keep full backups just in case...

BGS is not making any updates to LE. They hid the game and forgot all about it.
