I don't think I've tried 6k x 6k, but I did try 2k x 2k . It did take a while to generate. Why do you need such big space?

Thanks for asking. I am making map of a big middle eastern nation and some smaller nations around it. probably only 2 small ones and a big one. i then set up buildings and camps and will place civilians and military stuff and then will play around for my own enjoyment. I might put that map on the workshop too with the soldiers and vehicles of it and new skins.

For the stuff that im playing around. I will set the ranges to high and the engagemaant distance and will do some sort of rebellon in that country and will just mess around in the mission. and it should be that there are many fobs who can send vehicles and tanks and it should be like in real life with the logistics and stuff. after a battle when i click start in the editor i will do certain things with certain factions and then when its over i will finish the scenario and edit the map to match the progress of the battle and save(count and bury corpses, destroyed vehicles and buildings).
That means many battles or even an invasion by other factions.

and its generating for 12 hours right now and still not finished. lets see tomorrow.

I would be interested in outcome of your test. Particularly how long would it take to load such a map from save or initial start. I might have heard some talk about how developers would support larger maps, but that remains to be seen. Either way, good luck with computerized room heater! Looks like you need a supercomputer to have maps in CTA.

I think I left it for couple hours and it was done. I don't remember details, but eventually I closed map by accident so it was gone. Didn't attempt to do it again though.

It took to long to load for me(6k x 6k). have a 2k x 2k map and its enough. I can always add territory if needed. I am working to create a small country with different factions and stuff like that. I will put the map on the workshop. You should also try the 2k x 2k and try to build your dream country. Its fun.
