taming lizards

After beating the game as survivor I spent 2 hours trying to cuddle with a lizard. Not once have i managed to. Either lizards try to eat my gift but cant grab it, or they disappear and are never seen again or they just dont follow me. What am I doing wrong? I fed centipedes, squidcadas, scavengers, and only to white, green, blue and purple lizards

I can help you, Perhaps try and download a mod that changes the lizard AI so they can grab it. Another thing before taming lizards is to check the wiki if you do not know how much food they need in order to be tamed.

green lizards are also the easiest to tame, you just need one or two infant noodleflies or any other things and throw it into their face until they grab it.
