Is Brotato dead after DLC update?
For some time, I played this game as a funny way to connect with my family with a different, yet smaller, style of dungeon crawling than what we're all used to.

So Brotato was "oh yeah that one game" that we could sit down try come co-op or let a few of us take turns running a solo run and see how far either one of us got till the next one would try or see what combination of things would work to get us to go further.

Now, after DLC was released we all tried getting back into the game, but even with mods it seems scarce or well blatantly "empty" because for one almost nearly 90% of all mods are either incompatible with the new DLC or they are straight up not updated at all.

The lack of new mods is shockingly surprising given that this is a fairly easy style of a game to mod compared to most games out there.

Most exciting mod so far has been the GMO or character combination mod that let's you select 3 or more characters at a time to play and without enough compatible character mods or even a bigger choice of more than 3 characters to try out the combinations or "experimental" runs sort of dies out heavily leaving nearly any person that wants to play this game feel as if they should just refund it within the first few hours of playing.
(saying this as if a new person would get on to play with it's current awful state)

The game itself isn't awful, but the blow to the community when a new DLC lands it's kind of a shock when the community itself seems non-existent or they rather build so many "BETA" downloads that the game will make your head spin trying to figure out what version of the game you even have.

Conclusion is, the game is obviously dying pretty easily, modders aren't really alive or got the "energy" to mod like they used to, and the majority of anything that is on the workshop should flat out be deleted based on how outdated or worthless it really is.

I normally come from Skyrim modding so seeing this game fall apart from the inside out just simply due to 1 little DLC drop is anything, but sadly disappointing.

This is a great game and everyone is letting it die.

Breaking it's legs, giving it crutches with the dumb beta madness, and then kicking them out right from underneath it with barely any updated mods whatsoever.
(it just feels awful watching this games current state fall to pieces so easily)

Yeah... look at the global achievement completion rates. Most of the "Beat Abyss with X" achievements have a 1-3% completion rate.
