Cant use buildings from workshop

Hi, I have downloaded a few different buildings from steam workshop and also made sure my handy men have upgraded everything but I still cant use the buildings. Does anyone else have this? thanks.

Could you link the ones you have problems with? And do you get any error messages or are they just locked?

i have the same problem! everything is locked

restart the game, some are obviously only available in sandbox or challenge mode and not franchise mode.

Otherwise seems you have to have everything unlocked in the mechanic tree. Everything, all 17 items to gold level.
