How to diplomacy?
I just got shoved into a war where it's the Steel Striders and me vs everyone else, there was no option other to join one other faction and still be at war with everyone. Was there anyway I could have just been at war with one faction instead of 5 for the next 14 hours?

Just defend as hard as you can and wait for the next diplomacy options and pick something a bit more adventitious.
