Downloading Textures?
So, I want to edit a few texture packs I have, though I'm subscribed to them and want to see if there's a way to instead download them instead? Sorry if I worded it weirdly.

They are downloaded, just need to dig through the steam files, been a while but your looking for the workshop folder in what i remember as steam/steamapps/common. From there you will need to find the string of numbers that is terraria (don't change the names of folders if you want things to work) and open the workshop folder. From there you should ctrl + C the entire contents of the workshop entry, make your changes and put your altered version in the resource pack folder of where Terraria stores save data (in your documents folder).

When I do that/look through my pc for a steam file, all I can see is the steam application and the 'steam support center' file

you need to go to system files or wherever you installed steam to find the folder called steam. at worst you can always search for the steam application in the windows search bar and then select the option to open in file explorer and that will bring you to the contents of the steam folder itself. at this point if everything goes well you are now on the steam part of the file directory and can explore to find the workshop folder.

Here's the exact location where resource packs are downloaded to, when subscribed to in the steam workshop: *Drive*:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\105600

The folders are named with the ID of the pack (look at the URL of the pack page, it's the last number in it.)

I recommend copying the files you are editing into your own pack in the normal resource pack directory (*Drive*:\Users\*Username*\Documents\My Games\Terraria\ResourcePacks), to prevent pack updates overwriting your changes.
