I do not want to rebalance the weapon, I just wanted to play around with the files to understand how stuff works like for example exactly that.
However, the torpedoes have a really slow rate of fire which isn't cancelled when switching weapons. So you get the normal, non-invasive reload and then have to wait for the the delay between shots (which you can switch to other weapons during the cooldown phase).
This only works on weapons with a single-shot magazine, otherwise you'll just have a really slow gun.
