Editing maps downloaded from the workshop

I've downloaded many many maps from the workshop and played them. But when I go into the editor and select "edit" I only see like 5 maps. Further - when I go to windows file explorer I don't see very many maps in C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Forts\data - only a fraction of the maps I can see and play in the game. Where are the files for the maps I downloaded??

Search the drive for the steam workshop id?

Thanks! Very odd though - workshop downloads appear to live in:

C:\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\410900\<id>\

I haven't seen that documented anywhere. I had to copy the content to data\maps to edit it.

It's completely normal for Workshop items to live there.

The location is mentioned in the 'Adding a device with included textures' section of the 'How to mod Forts' guide. It could be added to the map editor guide too, though.
