Zoning and Districts

Hi all,
This is crazy! When I lay down a road I see the 'gridded' area and the color of the zoning. In other areas on the same map, I lay down a road and there is no 'gridded' area and the zone color does not show!

Also, I can add a district on one area, yet I am unable elsewhere. What the heck is going on?? This game used to be a lot less work!

Highways do not have zoning grids associated with them. Ensure that you have the new zoning button set to zone either just one side of the street, both sides of the street or you will not have any zoning while laying roads.
