Perhaps you're pleased to know we're working on a total rework of the track editor so that it works more intuitively and gives you more options to create your tracks.
1. The 'ignore original spawnpoint' is a feature that only works for free flight and freestyle where you can select your starting position. It doesn't affect races. To select a non-default spawnpoint for a race, go to your race in the track editor (select track -> edit races -> select race -> edit race), start editing it and you'll see a black drone icon for each of the spawnpoint in the environment. Click on the spawnpoint to make it the spawnpoint for the race.
2. If you select your tracks/races in the quick play menu, then you can't delete them. To delete them, go to the single player menu from the main menu, select the 'free flight' game mode, select your environment, and for your custom tracks, you'll see a trash can icon in the upper right corner for each track. You can delete them from there. But perhaps it's a good point to also be able to delete them from the track editor menu.
Yes, the ux can definitely be improved upon. As someone that is used to 3D CAD software, I found it very limiting (but in a sense, that is also a good thing). Looking forward to the update!
Happy to test a beta version ;-)
1. Thanks!
2. Thanks! Yip, would be great if all consolidated in the editor menu.
(3.) Something I find annoying is when you test fly a track in editor and go back to editor, the position it places you at is the maps "original spawn" point. Then you have to change view (v) zoom all the way out and "pan" to where on the map you are busy building. It would be great if it could start you off where your drone was last.
Cheers Al
When I was online, I told Mekon that I couldn't get it to load and he somehow loaded it. But after that, no luck - Can you locate the track?
Your profile is private, so I can't look up your Workshop items. If you can post a link to your workshop page for Liftoff, I can check it out.
Could you send me the track and race files themselves via mail? To find them on your system, please follow these instructions:
Please mail these to team@lugus-studios.be and I'll have a look at them. Thanks!
