Mod Request - Storage/Immersion/Logistics
I know The Universim modding is fresh but I've had some long standing ideas I would like to be able to see in game. In order of "probable feasibility" I have listed below a few ideas I wish I knew how to do myself. Alas, I do not, so I put it out there in the hopes that someone may like and implement one of these ideas, or even improve them.

This one I added after some thought of the others.... An option to better control the placement, distribution, quality, and quantity of residential lots that are automatically placed. Early game I feel this would be the handiest. I find myself purging single family lots in favor of 3 or 4 family lots. Without the specific power, they just build wherever is closest to the center. I find they end up walking insane distances just to do their job.

Which brings me to population distribution and work/travel distance. A code that would just have a nugget move if their distance to/from their assigned workplace exceeds x% of stamina. They will then look for an empty home in a residential lot closer to work.

A mod that would increase the per item capacity in each storage lot. Maybe even a universally linked "Special Storage" that connects to all the other storage lots. It would show the same resource values as are shown at the bottom of the screen. Could make the storage limits adjustable via a .txt or in game UI option.

A visual mod that reflects the quality of the world and nuggets. Modifiers would include crime, happiness, pollution, maybe war, or events triggered by a sudden rise or loss in population or resources. like a storage building set for food gets wiped out, so the nuggets panic, visible damage or some other effects fade in on these objects and fade out as the situation changes. Crime and happiness could be represented by the parks having beautiful or tainted trees, litter, maybe even see a robbery or homeless/partner-less lingering around.

Lastly I would love to have more control of my industry and economy. I understand that, due to the players role in the game, it is not MY industry and economy. However I would like to mothball industries as I need or do not need. instantly laying off workers who then seek non-mothballed jobs. engineers have to do x% more upkeep on mothballed buildings but allows for doing more with less population, in my opinion.


I don't know how much, if any, of this is possible; but, i would be delighted if someone could take the rough ideas and cut them into pristine crystals.

Did anyone ever look in the possibility of making a mod like this? Sorry to necro, just wanted an update. Noticed not many threads on this topic.
