Hello!



I used to play total war warhammer 2 a bunch without any issue. I took a year break from the game, and want to play it again, but it now doesn't work for some reason.

When I launch the game from the Total War launcher, the screen either gets stuck on the launch screen, or goes black. I can hear the game running in the background. If I Alt/Tab out of the game, and then go back in, It's at the games main menu, but the mouse freezes once it fully loads. If I hover my mouse over the game in the taskbar, while I tab'd out of it, I can see the intro cinematic running fine in the thumbnail.



I have tried factory resetting my computer (game worked great at first launch, and then issues resumed when I launched it again at a later time), I've tried re-installing steam and the game, running as administrator, re-installing my graphics driver. Nothing seems to work. I am at a loss to what is going on, and why I was able to run the game before without issue, and now I can't.
