Mods not showing up

Ah, Paradox. I love you all and I hate you so much sometimes. I poured several *thousand* hours into Stellaris and gave up because the mod system was just so terrible that I couldn't deal with it anymore.

Now, with Surviving the Aftermath, I've got a series of mods and none of them work at all. They don't show up in the selection screen in game. They also don't exist on the Workshop here in Steam.

I've downloaded the mods directly from the Paradox Website... still not working. Nothing shows up.

Am I doing anything specifically wrong? I've searched the Web trying to find answers about mods, but everything is from even earlier stages of development.

Have the same problem, found some information. Here some Links. But I still can't bring most of the mods to work, hope you are luckier:

anything by silva won't work he abandoned this game and went back to surviving mars (and now pretty much abandoned that too). any mod that hasn't been updated since the last patch also won't work.

Ah, Paradox... making games people love and then making it so that modding their games to be more fun and playable is bordering on the impossible.
