help with nicks coop

me and my friend wanted to play nicks coop so we get it all set up but when it came for me to host a server all that came up was some funny little tab with loads of text on it? when my friend went to host it was completely fine and loaded him in. anyway to fix this?

Me and my friend could only play using Radmin VPN because of something to do with my ISP blocking the connection to my friend's PC, so that's a good start. It should work with Radmin even if this is an issue with your ISP as well.
Oh, also make sure that you both are running the same version!
Besides checking that you're on version 5025, if you play in a language other than English, both must change the language in the game's properties, in the library.
