Custom Prisoner Heads - QUESTIONs to DEVs
Question #1:

Is Steam Workshop ever going to see the light for Custom Prisoner Heads, or we are just going to have to modify our Local Folders in order to play with custom faces?
I truly hope the first option is going to be realized in the near future.

Question #2:

I'm a pixel artist and made several custom faces for BBT: I'm trying to emulate as much as possible and with the best possible results the BBT game style, throwing here and there a bit of my personal creative touch.
I'm currently using a freeware software for drawing which is Paint.Net, which lets you draw in a dedicated, multilayer supported format (*.pdn extension) and lets you convert to a single layer *.png format (required for viewing the custom prisoners in game).

How do I possibly realize colours which do NOT change in game according to the team colour? Gray tones (Black and white) are the only colours which can be used at the moment, since other colours will be modified in an unwanted way by the colour of your team (except White team, which represents the true colours you designed in the model).

Please, Reply.

Thanks

Hi LorMus! I checked our support ticket system, and we responded to you. :-D Please check your spam filter for e-mails from support@thebehemoth.com, or use your ticket number and the email you used to sign up via the ticket to check your status here:

There are currently no plans announced to bring the custom faces to Steam Workshop. We do, however, have full Workshop support for playlists!

The custom face feature also does not support the color layer in the way you describe -- the way the Prisoners are implemented in game is a little bit different from the way they are implemented via the custom face option.

Glad you are enjoying our custom face system! Hopefully this answers your questions.

Thank you for the immediate reply.

I suggest to make this thread sticky since it answers most of the custom-prisoners creators out there.

In any case, I would like to see these 2 features implemented in the near future, since most of the players have started to create a whole bunch of high level custom artworks.

These artists, Like I do, would love to have a primary and optimal way to share this content with the rest of the community (without flooding with png upload links all the chats).

Thank you.

I hate to be the one reviving a dead, buried and decomposed topic, but I need to say that I totally agree with LorMus. A custom face workshop would be a nice thing to have to share your artwork with others. It's cool to have an unique head that you know that only you will have, but it's also cool to see other people using and liking it. Even a subforum dedicated in sharing custom heads wouldn't be a good idea because some threads would eventually vanish in the avalanche of threads, and I guess there's too many artists creating too many heads to put them all in a single post, so a Workshop would be a perfect place, since you can still tag them.

Also, a way to make some colors unchangeable would make things even better, although I don't see how this can be done.
