Please Use the Official Epic Forum for ARK Modding Support!
Hey all,

In an effort to consolidate questions about modding ARK into a single forum, and draw on the rich resources available to the Unreal Engine 4 community, we will be focusing our tutorial and technical support efforts on posts made to the Epic ARK UE4 Mod Forum here:

https://forums.unrealengine.com/forumdisplay.php?70-ARK-Survival-Evolved

So we encourage any and all aspiring ARK modders to post questions and feedback there, as you'll likely get a faster response and more rapid solutions from the dev team and even other UE4 developers on that site :)

(We'll still check this forum periodically, but less frequently than the Epic UE4 Modding forum)

Thanks all! Happy modding, and see you on the ARK,
-Drake

I need Modding questions answered, and epic are twiddling their thumbs and mumbling under their breathe about what they SHOULD have done to prevent the catastrophy.

In the meantime, how about someone doing something useful like creating a USEFUL bloody modding forum here!

@Bumbles Most if not all the modding discussions are on the discord channel for modders. The forums are used primarily for posting tutorials are and cancel questions that may not be readily available at any given time on discord.

I've posted a question on the Unreal/Ark forum today, in the proper subforum, with clear explanation of my purpose and needs. I reposted after 8 hours because I couldn't find it and thought it'd gotten eaten by the boards. This time I saw the message "A moderator must approve your post". That's fine, but you need to not take days to approve posts. (Also I tried to message a mod to tell there there was a double post, and couldn't even do that?)

You know, people are taking time out of their lives to explore possibilities to make the game better. Delaying even the posting of the question for a day means another day's delay before they can move forward. This might be fine for people who are employed in the studio and have all day long to wait, but it's unacceptable for people who are effectively stealing a few hours here and there out of their lives to help. They can't work on that basis.

You all need to back off on the micro-moderation so we can put questions out and get questions back in real time. Other games' modding forums are not moderated like this and things move forward at a much better speed. Whole conversations happen in a single day or even a couple of hours, and that's how you make progress.

Not sure where i should be posting so i will ask here. Is there any mod or way to prevent the light leakage through wall joints and ceiling joints? I play solo so it doesn't really matter as far as my safety is concerned. But i hate the light leaking all around my base and would like to know why it does that. Or if anyone knows of a caulking or insulation that could be applied to the walls and ceilings.

I am looking for someone who would be willing/interested in helping me bring a map to life. I don't know how to use the devkit myself but have always wanted to learn and make a map with someone who has already made one before/has experience in making Ark maps - I do have a concept in mind. Comment if interested (this is serious so don't comment if you're not interested, no need for smart remarks or childish behavior.) I would like to do this as soon as possible too, thank you! :) if interested send me a friend request or leave a comment on my discussion post that can be found under Workshop Discussions with the title as "MAP CREATION DEVELOPMENT".
