Unit allocation mod
Am looking for a way, to change standard troopselection for specific countries (kingdoms.csv) and/or provinces (realms.csv).
Any direct change results in gibberish in some references, as some or most (depending on changes) tooltip texts only show the the reference path, and not the actual text (=gibberish).
I'm not savy enough, to resolve this on my own, would really love some vikings also at later ages for example.
Cheers

Not sure what you're doing to get this problem
changing
Norway,Norwegian,Catholic,-,Trondheim,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,,-,Kingdom,-,,,,,-,-,,
to
Norway,Norwegian,Catholic,-,Trondheim,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,,-,Kingdom,-,,,,,-,Viking_Special,,
(in Maps/europe/kingdoms.csv)
Gives me lateage vikings in norway. No UI issues.

thanks for the quick answer,
tried changing that with open office, will try it in Notepad.
Was also adding a few other units here and there (like cataphracts with roman soldiers in Ethiopia;)....

Yes, open Office seems to add some secret sauce....
Notepad works fine, thanks again

wysiwyg editors are probably adding headers assuming it's in some format or other since it's a .csv
you'll probably find that sometimes you'll want to edit this kind of thing in VIM, do it, don't listen to anyone who tells you to use nano or therelikes since notepad doesn't like files that are too big and will hang on opening or while scrolling and for the love of god don't use a notepad++ build this side of obama, other "people" will probably suggest notepad++ as well

you can safely ignore the spoilertags
