The animations used in Insurgency weapons are unlikely to be compatible the the ones in Contagion, so the general workflow of importing a weapon would be to first use Crowbar the decompile the replacement weapon as well as the weapon you want to replace, rig the replacement weapon to the others skeleton, fix any broken animations, and recompile.
