What is wrong with the Workshop for this game??
After playing this game for a while, I can say that the following are the most common issues for the modding Workshop in Killing Floor:

--The mods will sometimes download/you have to restart the game over and over before the mod downloads

--The mods that do download do not go to a specialty folder like L4D2; they go directly into your filesystem

--Because of the above, mods will sync with the Cloud even if you unsub from all of your mods

--Mods rarely show up and often require you to manually tweak files for them to work

--There are some submissions that don't even host the mod itself and tell you to go to a Russian KF modding website to download the mod

My main question after experiencing all of the above is: what in the h e l l is wrong with the developers? Because of the way that mods work in Killing Floor and the massive amounts of effort and problems alike that surround the modding scene for this game, it's not even fun to modify it. I could spend hours messing with code and textures for L4D2, but any time I even want to approach Killing Floor I have a massive desire to forget about modding a multiplayer game that should otherwise be fun and enjoyable. My question to the community is what is your frustration level with this game's modding scene? More importantly, has anyone found any solutions to any of the aforementioned problems? Until the Workshop is fixed for this game, I honestly can have more fun with L4D2 than this, and that is rather sad.

Well compaired to Skyrim or Orion KF workshop is a dream... not sure how you blame the devs for people uploading content that is a "front" telling you to get another download in another place... Workshop itself has size limits on uploads etc. that has nothing to do with the devs. of this game.

The devs are the ones that have to design their games to be open to mods, and that includes how the game handles mods and where it stores them. If the devs do not design a system for it or are lazy with the mod system development, then you end up with it's current status: click on a mod, there is about a 40-60% chance that it will actually download, or that it will register within the game.

The mods are not stored in a separate folder, so the are put into your filesystem directly. This means that if you have Cloud backup enabled the mods will become a part of your backup and will download with any other install of KF, despite what you have in your subscriptions area; I had to perform the Cloud server glitch in order to get a fresh install of KF. So while I could care less about the redirect to a Russian KF modding site, there is no warning or instruction for it; they just toss you into the KF modding scene and you either sink or swim. So to an extent, the devs are responsible for the modding system of KF (if there is one).
