yeah, just open console ("~") and type "open name_of_map"

you downloaded name_of_map.udk from workshop
(every workshop has this name somewhere written, look for it on description page)

would the same command be able to open a mod? like say matrix or black knight?

yes

"open name_of_map?modname=name_of_mod"

When I do that I just get ERROR: map "mapname" does not exist.

do you type mapname without ".udk" ?

aswell be careful for char " ` " sometimes it randomly appearrs in yr line

next update will refresh UI and changing map won't be via console so... nice summer ahead of us :)

to play in Single player

start CMW game and when you are in game menu or anywhere in game doesn't really matter
open console with "~" key next to 1 (left upper corner of keyboard)

then type exactly without " quotes ofc.

"open AOCTO-NavalWarfare_p"

then press Enter key and map will start

but be careful for this: "òpen" for some bug this might happen so correct to "open" if it happens

if you want to play online with people you can join e.g.

Democracy Manifest - Map Rotation server if you are from EU or you just have good ping

when you are subscribed to map you dont need to download it again when joining and this automatic downlaoding is little bugy sometimes so subrciptions to maps are advantage for players as well as for mappers/ moders cuz they see someone appreciate their work and play their maps...

but you can unsubcribe after trying a map so its nothing that would permanetly "harm" your PC

there will be soon next patch to game and this madness with console will be history but for now you need to do it this way

I found how you are supposed to do it with the motteandbailey-mod but then I have no bots inside :D
So this is something I will have to work out.

to add bots use command

"AddBots 10" again in console and then press Enter

commnad "KillBots" just kill all bots :D

How do i solve this:
Last time i was able to open motteandbaley and now it say's the map does not exist.
Do I have to place them somewhere else in my directory?

if you have subscribed to workshop it should work, but steam is often (very often) bugy so I believe you that it may seem crazy that something that worked recently 100% works now 0% xD

protip: try button in bottom right corner of launcher
"Click to download subscribed Steam Workshop items"

uberprotip: click so many times until you will get succes mesage, quite often 1 click is not enough :D

don't do anything with directories
just in past you had to
but everything is automatic now,

Sorry MiPu, I have friends and we want to use your map to play LAN server, is it possible ? since I've read many guide but they just say about using console "~" to open a map/ mod to play with bots, not to create a private server and play with friends

At first I am very happy you'd like to play my map on LAN xD (performance update is coming soon...)

Well, listen servers and LAN support are planed by Devs but as they said "We are close, but not close enough".
So as far as I know at the moment it is not possible but it will be in future.
(or if there is an opption it's very hard and I don't know how to play LAN,
I'm not expert with servers and such things, some ppl can make server from their own PC but's it's terribly hard... so maybe there is also opportunity for LAN just duno how)

If you want you may register on offical forum, I was first also just on steam forum but actually if you wan't sth Devs don't read steam forums and most "important" or how to say it members of community are also just on TB forums
