DEI overhaul 1-5 is now outdated and cannot play game

Can someone explain what just occurred. I was playing DEI Rome 2 and all of a sudden my game crashed. I go to play again and it notified me that the DEI mods 1-5 overhauls are now outdated.

DeI 1-5 has been outdated for like 8 years now. Basically our original mod creator disappeared from the face of the earth and nobody heard anything about him since.
