Help with mod idea
I have always found it annoying that lake Victoria has no bonuses as all the countries around the great lake have always fished there, so I wanted to add either a modifier and a building to all counties touching it, I am sure I can figure out the modifier but how would I add a building that add's fishing jobs that would actually be profitable?

I think you might just be able to put fishing as a resource in the relevant states, as far as I know it doesn't require them to actually be coastal.
Hi yes I thought of this myself but with the new dlc being added I wanted a unique building that gives trade trade ships using cloth and wood and you get trade ships and fish from the building, just being locked into Africa with no trade SUCKS and you basically are just building up a nation for Britain in the future, and meat and grain prices go up fast so needing multiple food buildings is needed as any Ugandan minor nation. I was thinking I add one to each of the states surrounding the lake itself. Having trade access actually lets you build a nation that functions but you gotta kill either Britain or Portugal with 0 friends and no access to lead or sulphur and no actual formable for Uganda and it makes the area very unplayable without trade
If they're actually meant to trade via it, you'll probably need to mod the states themselves to be coastal, I don't think buildings can unlock that on their own. Not quite sure how complex that would be.
I want it to act as a port/fishery and you can build the trade stations yourself all provenances get access to it you just need access to merchant ships that the port makes, which you can not do base game without port access. So I am pretty sure you can get available goods via the world market like that. Was going to make it as I said require wood and fabric which is basically the only goods you have in abundance, but also makes seance, you can sail down the Nile from lake Victoria and out into the Med so it's not to unrealistic to add in imo. But I shall check to see if the coastal tile if required.

You need to be adjacent to the World Market to trade on it, yeah. Paradox is ignoring all the rivers in-game that should allow trade (eg: Poland and Saxony can't trade via the Vistula/Elbe respectively).

Now, you can do a fix by connecting all the lakeshore provinces to Alexandria and add a treaty port there, this'd be more complex I think but I have a basic guide for it here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/discussions/18446744073709551615/604159563341549040/?appid=529340

Only drawback would be armies could teleport from Alexandria to Lake Victoria.
Hmm for personal use that will be fine, thank you this was very useful information, going to try think of a work around. Idk if it's possible and even if so idk if the building would work/get staffed but making the African minor tribes all have trade posts connecting inner land routes, just not sure even if I could add the building if they have the educated pops and goods to work it so will require some out of the box thinking for sure lol. Ty for being a wall to bounce idea's of was very useful
