Hey all I'm not savoy to mods but a suggestion that may or may not be easy would be a mod to increase the area a carrier repairs and reloads/refuels the support vessels. You can go crazy and match cruise missile or just the size of CWIS range I think would be ideal. As you get further along and have a decent size support fleet 5-10 ships they can't all easily fit in the small area vanilla provides. Just an idea. Hope someone can do something with it.
