As a new modder from couple day, these are what I did to successful to modding.

-Open RPFM https://github.com/Frodo45127/rpfm/releases
rpfm-v4.3.11-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip This what you need to download.
-I not sure about this but I extracted everything from that folder after downloaded.

-Download Winrar https://www.win-rar.com/start.html?&L=0 I believe there is option to pay for it or free trial. I 100 percent don't recommend you to pay for it.

-Use Winrar to open the RPFM folder
-Find rpfm_ui.exe and double it. Now you should be able to open modding new tools.

-If you open it then go to the top left and click on Packfile. Click New Packfile and there should be folder call unknown show in Pack Content window.

-Right click on Unknown and then hover on add. Click on Add from Pack File.

-Now go find your Total Warrhammer 3 folder and find db.pack and click it. Not the data.pack.

-You should be able to see dp.pack in one of the RPPM window.
-Click on the arrow tower the dp.pack. Don't click on the folder.
-You will see a lot of folders. Find and click Land_Units_Table folder.
-It should be show under Uknown.pack. Click on the folder should show you data. Click on it. It will show all the units in the game.
-Go modify some basic unit like Swordmen or Dreadsaurian. Change melee or charge bonus.
-Save your file as anything. I prefer number like 0 or 1.
-If you can't save then go to the top left of Packfile and scroll down to quite and setting. There is an option about Change Packfile type. Change it to mod. That should allow to save your mods.
-If you manage then it should be show up at your mods list. Activate it then you should be able to successful modding.

You could always use youtube as guide too.
100 recommending to install this mod Disabled Startup Splash/Intro. This will save you time.

I still new here and still trying to figure many of the modding tools lol

I guess you should start install the tools first and make your mod before jump into the hard part.

Here is the video if you need further help. This video helped me lot.

so i started by watching a youtuber (see below) make a simple mod changing table values, making sure you learn the naming conventions and get that working in game. then move to making effects, then unit variants, skills, buildings

i watched this guys vids repeatedly back in the day (they're a little outdated)

making animations and models using 3rd party software is a bit out of my range
