Creating realistic scenarios
Hi everyone, I have been waiting for something like this since Janes Fleet Command which came out in the late 1990s so thank you to the team for developing the next modern navel combat simulation.
I know their is still a long way to go before the game is declared completed so anyone around here criticising because of its realism ought to have a word with themselves.

I am looking at creating realistic scenarios and have been working on one for a few days now over the Christmas period, creting/playing/testing/improving etc, its quite a complex scenario but as the title suggests i like to work on real life situations and develop scenarios based on events which may well happen.

a couple of things i have noticed which restricts how well a scenario plays out apart from the obvious bugs etc

1) Is intermittent radar being planned for a future release? In Harpoon which was released in the early 90s that had the option for intermittent radar. With it being currently unavailable it makes it difficult to create a scenario where the enemy has a chance in finding the player without giving away his position.

2) Maybe a bug? but the sonar buoys are not disappearing off the map when they have expired after some 1.5hrs, this causes map clutter and needs to be de-cluttered through the map options.

3) If the enemy has an aircraft carrier will the AI automatically launch aircraft to defend the carrier group and/or attack the player? i realise the programming needed for this would be quite complex but is that a future possibility?

4) If an enemy group detects approaching player vessels and/or aircraft will that alert all enemy groups in the area to converge and attack the player? it seems to work for players aircraft when you direct them to attack a given enemy air group but after allowing weapons free for the attack one or two of the aircraft peel off and head in another direction to attack another group of enemy aircraft which may be a few hundred miles away and not an immediate threat.

5) The edit formation window has an option of 'Add station' is this to be utilised at a later date to be able to add for example CAP air stations and ASW helicopters, E2 air stations ect?
