Tot ! Custom as replacement for Fashionist

Make sure to check requirements and incompatibilities.
Also I have seen way too many people panic and think this way and I don't think they realize the truth of it. You can't "plan ahead" as a mod user, just because somebody creates some copy of a mod that is "newer", you have absolutely no guarantee that the author of this new mod won't quit next month due to some IRL issues and never update their mods again and that the next update won't break theirs first while the old one keeps working.
So use whichever you like, but imo it's senseless to suddenly stop using a perfectly functional mod that you like just because of some slightly irrational future proofing fear :) If it stops working you can simply switch to another then, if it won't be available then.. that means there wasn't much point "future proofing" with that mod to begin with :)
I can verify that Better Thralls still works fine. I ended up replacing it with Improved Thralls & QoL simply for the additional benefits to thrall control and setting them a home point, being able to instantly teleport followers to me, etc.
I do very much like Tot's suite of mods. Tot Custom is a bit more than a direct replacement for Fashionist and allows more fine tuning of your character/thralls/npc's etc. It's not really a fair comparison because of this. I believe Tot Custom also has a dependency of another mod or two... Tot Sudo and/or Tot Admin... I think.
My main hesitation or reservation about Improved Thralls and QoL is that it starts creeping into doing too many things and becoming too broad in scope. It already handles thralls, stack size, locking and other things. It doesn't use the ModControlPanel interface or Tot's API for settings which means admins and players both have to type the command line (a separate command for each) to get to it which is kind of yuck. Great mod, but should leverage another mod's UI so there's not yet another obscure way to configure things.
Valid points. However, ITaQoL is far from the only popular mod that uses console commands to grant access to its configuration panel. Personally, I don’t think it’s a big hassle, but I agree that having a more accessible way to open the UI, like a dedicated button, would be a nice improvement. That said, you can set a keybind to open the menus, meaning you only need to use the command once.
Secondly, while it offers more than just Thrall improvements, it also provides the option to enable or disable individual features. This results in high compatibility, allowing users to integrate other mods for features that ITaQoL already includes.
