For those of us living in New Zealand and Australia,

the shocking naval events of February 2025 were a rude awakening to the power projection capabilities of the Communist Chinese Peoples Liberation Army Navy.

The PLAN dispatched a 3 warship flotilla to conduct live weapon fire exercises between New Zealand and Australia interdicting sea and air travel between our two nations.

This time the live firing did not turn hot, although some 49 flights had to be rerouted.
What though if the firing had turned hot?
