How Do I Apply Workshop Mods?

Hi all, I just picked up Terraria again after a couple years and I just started looking through the workshop and found some things that I added to my favourites, but I have no idea how to use or apply them. Please help! Thank you ^-^

On the main menu there is a workshop option. From there you can do a few things including activating resource packs and their load order. also subscribe to the workshop entry to download them in the first place.
