I want to essentially turn all my borders into a maginot line, have a country impossible to invade, but that doesn't work the best with colonies. So is it just best to turn them into puppets? or is there a political path that incentives me giving them full independence in return for a stronger homeland? I have most of the DLC so I think I have all the potential france paths unlocked.
