Modding for Beginners?

Wheres a good place to start to learn how to make an origins mod for the game? I want to recreate an old mod to start with an open wormhole. I tried searching the guides here and none were helpful.

That really depends on your experience with coding languages, I would recommend downloading a few mods that have new origins and use them as a reference on what you need to do.
