engine ideas?
i'm trying to make a new engine, i made a delta, a inverted hex (cranks at the angles), rotary radial (stationary crank, moving engine block and cyl heads), ive made a vr12, ive made most of the common engine layouts, and i ran out of ideas.
Can any one give me a challenge?

P.D. it has to be in vanilla, no scripts nor mods, (only if a turbo is wanted)
Have you made an imitation of steam engine ?
It does not require angine patrs. I made a prototype, but i was unable to make it infinite (due to to imagination boundries). Maybe you will be able to make it.
Chalange is: no engine parts and no elecrick motors.

do you mean as a hydraulic piston engine?, i think i can do than, lemme see
edit: how many pistons? (doing 2 for now)

nah man, too complicated and snappy, i tried 2, 3, 4 and 6 pistons, but nothing,

I believe that you understand my challenge as Spring engine.

the issue, is that you are trying to do a perpetual motion machine, which is technically impossible in any simulator,and as for the steam engine, we dont have that kind of system, that i can think of right now
"Perpetual motion" - i fully agree
But lets be real .... as realistic physics as they can be, this is till a game - there is always a way to either "glich" it into converting collition force (attemt to separate overlaping parts apart) to movement force, or either just to make force loses so low that floating point variable no longer registeres it 😄
Regarding steam part - this was the part that i was also strugling so i tost the ide in hopes that maybe some one will think of an alternative
