Trasers looking like Star Wars lasers?
Is it possible to make the bullet traser be of a limit length that flies through the air to the target and not the straight line that stretches from the gun barrel to the target?

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it to work using projectiles.

Even though you resolved this question I'll leave this here for future reference: the way the original tracers work is that they are stretched depending on the range that they are meant to fly: longer range = more stretch. So if you want to create some with less distortion over a longer distance you'll need the tracer to be a longer image at the start. But other than that, there's no control of a tracer's size as far as the original implementation of it goes.

I wish we could combine the two; we'd get some cool effects with it.

Have you seen my video in the other thread? Beside the badly photoshoped laser, I think it looks really good and projectiles do exactly what I want.

EDIT: There's one thing though, projectile seem to ignore shields, which is kind of problematic for what I have in mind...

I looked at it briefly and from what I saw the troopers are looking great. Death animations will probably be the hardest part. As for the tracers, you can make multiple versions and then overlay them for a glow effect and stuff. It'll take some trial and error to figure out what works though.

Sucks that projectiles are ignoring shields. I wonder if it's like that in general or just a setting that got overlooked. Regardless, it's stuff like that kind of prevents me from completing a bunch of my own mods. Usually lacks one little detail required to make it all work properly. And, unfortunately, it tends to be something that needs to be hard coded.
