Steam update led to all mods re-downloading - but many didnt download

Hi Gang, I recently opened civ5 to continue a game. Steam did an update and all of a sudden started re-downloading all of my 179 mods. Unfortunately many didnt download. The game says they are subscribed but wont download. Unsubscribing and then re-subscribing makes no difference. Please help.

Try clearing the contents of the Civ 5 Cache file in your MY GAMES folder. when you go to mods after a few seconds they will ALL redownload this usually fixes the missing mods problem for me.
